At the beginning of my design process I start by reading over the brief. By looking over the brief this will refresh my memory on what the project is. My next step is to freely sketch. Looking at things that inspire me help to open up to new ideas. Taking notes and researching furthermore on the internet is an important step to knowing more about my job at hand. Another technique that helps me in the beginning process of design is creating a word bubble, this will allow me to open up my mind and help steer me in the right direction.
During my design process, after creating multiple thumbnails, I choose my favourite ones and start doing some digital roughs. When I am not stressed or boggled down by deadlines, my mind opens up. Developing my design, I keep in mind the needs of the job and keep the brief close to me.
When I am stuck, I have to force myself to take my mind of the task. Being determined to find a solution can create a mental block for ideas. When I am relaxed, this allows my mind to open up. To be relaxed, I take naps, go for a walk or shop.
